La Manga Club offers lessons taught by professional coaches in these sports, or you can certainly use the sports facilities for recreational use. Golf
Golf is the main attraction at La Manga Club... and for good reason! For the third time in five years, La Manga Club was voted Europe's top golf resort, according to Hertz International Golf Travel Awards. The resort proudly holds three championship golf courses - the South Course, the North Course, and the West Course. In addition to these full 18 hole, world-class courses, La Manga Club also has top-notch training facilities and a Par 47 pitch and putt course.
In addition to providing the best golf facilities in Europe, La Manga Club also features some of the best instruction to its members and guests. The Golf Academy is led by PGA qualified instructors, who teach three-hour clinics in the mornings from Monday to Friday. The Golf Academy is perfect for any age or skill level, and the pros teach all aspects of the game in a fun and relaxed way. Some of the topics covered in these clinics are long game, short game, putting, swing techniques, grips, and club selection. In addition, everyone who enters the Golf Academy will receive video analysis and breakdown in order to elevate their future rounds.
La Manga Club also offers weekly tournaments every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is a small entry fee of €4 to get into these tournaments, but they offer more of a competitive flair to an otherwise relaxing stay at the resort. Monday Four Ball Better Ball Stableford, Wednesday is Medal, and Friday is the Individual Stableford. The prizes for these competitions are La Manga Club vouchers. The resort also hosts several other key tournaments throughout the year, and in the past, it has hosted the Spanish Open and the PGA Spanish Championship.
The pricing options for the club vary depending on membership, time played, and age. There is a 40% Junior Golfer discount on all the courses as well. Kids Activities
La Manga Club was developed with the whole family in mind, which means that kids of all ages will have plenty of activities. Two of the main attractions for kids are the giant Oasis pool and the mini golf course. These features are hits with all ages, but kids especially gravitate to them. Of course, there are all the organized sports and camps offered at the resort, but La Manga Club also has programs to keep the kids entertained. The Junior Club is a place that has cool furniture, table tennis, sports courts, air hockey, a theater, and caring supervisors for your children. While the Junior Club is a fun place for kids to hang out, it is also a very safe and secure place for them to play. Over the summer, the Junior Club is open seven days a week.
Football
La Manga Club contains 8 natural grass, full-size pitches, including a featured match pitch that holds 800 spectators. The quality of these fields is apparent, as many of the world's best football teams have trained in these facilities. La Manga Club holds camps for all ages and skills throughout the summer, and it also hosts several matches that are open to the public. Of these football camps, the Football Academy and Barcelona Football Club Camp are the most popular. The Football Academy is held throughout various weeks in the spring and summer for ages 3-18. While the Football Academy offers great instruction, the premier camp is the Barcelona camp, led by various coaches on the club. The camps develop young players' skills and improves their training and stamina.
Water Sports
With its proximity to the ocean, Villa Harlequin offers opportunities for lessons and trips in a variety of water sports and activities, such as paddle-boarding, kite surfing, Scuba diving, and snorkeling. While these activities are not directly offered through La Manga Club, members and guests receive big discounts on these trips. The beaches around La Manga Club boast some of the best diving spots in Spain, so be sure to explore some of these programs and experience the beatuy of the Mar Menor.
Tennis
The Tennis Centre at La Manga Club is an outstanding place to train or just have fun. With 28 courts (20 clay, 4 hard court, and 4 grass), La Manga Club offers a variety of courts that few facilities in the world can offer. Almost all of these courts provide seating to watch the tennis matches, and there is a featured main court, which has hosted some of the best players in the world.
In addition to all of the tennis courts, the Tennis Centre has a pro shop, a gym, and a spa, which is exclusively for members and guests at the Tennis Centre. There are also two paddle tennis courts and a set of squash courts outside of the Fitness Centre. Of course, La Manga Club offers private lessons and both adult and junior tennis academies throughout the week. The club also offers weekly tournaments for adults and kids, and there is an exhibition match featuring the Tennis Centre pros every Friday. Anyone at the resort is invited to watch these exhibitions.
If you want to play tennis during your stay, you are advised to reserve a court beforehand. Your stay at Villa Harlequin allows you to receive members rates at the Tennis Centre.
Cricket
La Manga Club has the best cricket facilities in all of Spain and one of the best in all of Europe. The resort is the home of the Spanish national team and hosts almost any professional tournament in Spain. La Manga Club offers a Cricket Academy for boys and girls under 17 years old, and it also has occasional professional matches that visitors are invited to attend.
Bowls
Bowls is a popular activity at La Manga Club for any age. Families enjoy getting together for a leisurely game on one of the few bowling greens in Spain. The court is next to the Tennis Centre, and the equipment can be rented from Tennis Reception.
