North Course
Villa Harlequin is a uniquely styled, spacious luxury villa set in extensive secure grounds right in the heart of La Manga Club. Perfectly positioned for easy access to the resort’s world-class golf courses and other facilities, it offers an excellent base for families and groups of friends seeking a comfortable and memorable golf-focused getaway.
The North Course is one of the three excellent 18-hole layouts at La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain. Designed by Robert Dean Putnam in 1971, it was later refurbished in 2001.
While the South Course is the championship test and the West offers its own unique challenge, the North Course is the most accessible and forgiving of the three. It is ideal for players of all levels, including mid to high handicappers, yet still provides a rewarding round for better golfers.
Measuring approximately 5,755 metres (around 6,290 yards) from the white tees, it plays as a par 71. The course is slightly shorter and hillier than the South, featuring tighter fairways, larger greens (built to USGA specifications), and undulating putting surfaces with plenty of movement.
Key features include palm trees lining the fairways, lakes, and natural storm gullies (barrancos) that come into play. It demands precision and shot-making rather than sheer length, with a good mix of holes and some attractive doglegs.
Many golfers describe the North as the most relaxed and enjoyable of the three courses — a scenic, player-friendly layout that offers a pleasant Mediterranean golf experience without the extreme difficulty of the South.
